It is with great excitement that we announce the arrival of a machine that installs a water saving/storage crystal and fertiliser at root depth to playing fields, parks, golf courses and the like. The need for such a machine has come about due to the current water crisis we are currently experiencing through out the country. Briefly the machine is towed behind a 100hp tractor. It slices the ground to a depth of 100mm. A ripper tyne with the product inducer follows. Press wheels then lightly close the slot leaving the surface in a playable state with little or no disturbance to profile. Spacing's of product is 150mm apart. The machine has a working width of 1800mm. When the machine travels length and width of area you achieve a 150mm grid pattern. The machine has proven that not only is there benefit from applying product for water storage it also aerates the ground as well. Councils Peter Apps has kindly allowed us to undertake a trial at the North eastern field at Thompson's Oval Beattie road Coomera. The trial was very successful and the results will be evident early spring. We also would like to note that this machine is our own design.
